Did not manage to try &Made by Bruno Ménard's festive specials of Beef & Lobster Burger and Foie Gras & Black Truffle Mayonnaise Burger in December. So jumped at the opportunity to try the 3-Michelin starred chef's new burgers on a weekend afternoon when I was looking for a place to lunch. I ordered neither its Vegetarian Burger nor Bacon & Cheese American Burger, but the Shredded Beef Burger. Was asked how I would like my French fries – original, smoked, garlic or truffle. Fondly recalled the original to be crispy, lightly-salted and good enough on its own but decided to have something different from the last two times. Smoked, it shall be. Could not tell I was eating smoked fries though they were still delicious. Instead of a dash of regular salt, these were sprinkled with "smoked" salt if such exists. And the &made BBQ sauce was no less irresistibly tangy and yummy.

&Made by Bruno Ménard Revisited
After a thumbs-up experience at &Made by Bruno Ménard last month, I said I would be back to try other items on the menu. Happened to be at Pacific Plaza on a Saturday afternoon and was deciding between The 3 Little Pigs and Lollipop Waffle. The former seemed too much as dinner would probably be in another two hours or so, but the latter too little as my light breakfast was more than four hours ago. In the end, I settled for The 3 Little Pigs. The place was bustling with many people waiting for seats during lunch time but by the time I was there, the crowd had eased. Not to say it was empty but there were a few available tables for two.

New Kid on the Block – &Made by Bruno Ménard
After the bad experience at Dean & Deluca, I decided to wait a while before trying &Made by Bruno Ménard at Pacific Plaza. According to the website, it is Singapore's 1st restaurant by 3-Michelin starred chef. Apparently, Chef Bruno Ménard will be permanently based in Singapore and he actually helms the kitchen. As no reservations are allowed, I decided to try my luck for lunch on a Tuesday about 3 weeks into its opening on 16 Jul. The row of cushioned seats was already taken when I reached around noon so I choose a table by the side as I did not want to sit right smack in the middle of the place. I was deciding between DD and The 3 Little Pigs and finally settled for the former.
